Michael Sugrue began his classical singing training two years ago. This past summer he sang the role of Monastatos from Mozarts The Magic Flute at York University. He has also sung with Opera Mississauga Chorus and is a member of the Palestrina Chamber Chorus. Some of the events he has participated in include recent concerts with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Hamilton Academy Orchestra with Boris Brott and an Italian tour summer 2002 with performances at a variety of esteemed venues in Northern Italy. He has performed as a soloist in many concerts including recent appearances with DivaDivaDiva as well as other special occasions in the Toronto area. Michael is a student of Stephanie Bogle and is pleased to be making his debut this season with Toronto Opera Repertoire as Don Ottavio in Mozarts Don Giovanni.
