Kennon SaariKennon Saari

This years performance as Edgardo di Ravenswood marks Kennons second leading role with the TOR. He made his debut with the company in February 2003 as Rodolfo in Puccinis beloved La Boheme. Kennon began his journey into the world of opera in 1999 quite by accident. At the time, he was playing bass guitar in a reggae band based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia when he decided he wanted to move to centre stage as a singer. This lead him to a series of introductory voice lessons here in Toronto through which it became clear that he possessed a tenor voice worthy of further investigation. Opera has since become the focal point of his musical aspirations. Mr. Saaris teachers and coaches currently include Giuseppe Macina, Adolfo di Santis, and Patrick Raftery.
