Kate is a 1993 Technical Production graduate from Australias foremost theatre school: the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA). She has spent the past ten years working in all technical fields ranging from Stage Management right through to Lighting Design. Much of her professional career has been spent working in a combination of ground-breaking new Australian Fringe Theatre and on the Lighting Crew of the Sydney Opera House. In 2001, Kate undertook a lighting secondment with Ballett Frankfurt and Frankfurt Opera, and originally came to Canada in the same year as a Lighting Designer for Manitoba Theatre for Young People. This is her first show with Toronto Opera Repertoire.
