OPERA FOR THE REST OF US!

1967-2007: Celebrating 40 Years of Great Community Opera!

Cheap tickets (not much more expensive than a movie). No fussy dress code. Down-to-earth, approachable singers who might just be your friends and neighbours. Toronto Opera Repertoire makes opera accessible both to the audience, through Supertitles in English, and to the performers.

Love opera? Our performances are fully staged, professionally costumed, and cost just $22 (less, if youre a student or senior). Love singing, and dreamed of being part of a full-scale opera production? If youre a trained singer, ready to test yourself by taking on a solo role in an opera classic, we may have just the part for you. And we always need enthusiastic choristers, eager to take to the stage and sing their hearts out. For 40 years now, under Giuseppe Macinas artistic direction and under the aegis of the Toronto District School Board Continuing Education Program, Toronto Opera Repertoire has presented fully-staged operas in their original languages, complete with period costumes and sets.

Why pay more for less? Our free SERP checker offers premium insights without the premium price tag.
