Boys with Toys!
Stephen Targett (left) as Marullo, Gerald Hannon as Count Ceprano and Artour Razgoev as Borsa in Rigoletto practise their swordsmanship (which was necessary, given that the blades kept poking into chorus members every time they turned around!)

Below: Make-up artist (and singer) Gerrit Seppenwoolde sweeps assistant Amy Dixon into his arms.

Erika Ross (left) and Lynne Shuttleworth alternated as Giovanna in Rigoletto, but here theyre going totally gypsy for Act 3 of La Traviata. First-time chorus member Peter Price pays the price of performance: make-up!

Real-life couple Katharine Scavone and William Parker were operatically separated this year: she appeared as Gilda in Rigoletto, and he sang Alfredo in La Traviata. Stalwart chorister James Matthews and newbie Sam Ha get acquainted.

Girls just wanna have fun: Karla Escalante (left) and Erin Griffith share a laugh, Amy Dixon slaps a face on tenor soloist Romulo Delgado and Isabelle Brunet and Yvette Sherman go undercover for Rigoletto.
