Romulo DelgadoRomulo Delgado

A member of the Toronto Musicians Association, Romulo has been working as a full-time professional guitarist and saxophonist for the last six years. Born in Ecuador in 1978, he came to Canada when he was only 10 years old and has since made Toronto his home. He manages Ardel Entertainment, a company that he started, which specializes in providing live Latin Entertainment for private, corporate and government functions. He started his operatic training two years ago at the Royal Conservatory of Music, after being forced by one of his closest friends (a concert violinist) to seriously consider opera or risk losing their friendship. Romulo is currently studying under the professional guidance of Donna Sherman, head of the Voice Faculty at The Glen Gould School. He has never sung in any choir, and this is his first time performing an operatic role. Undoubtedly, the role of Pinkerton in Madame Butterfly will provide quite a challenging start!

Romulo will sing Pinkerton Sunday, February 20; Saturday, February 26 and Sunday, March 6.
